About

I am a collage and textile artist, and art writer. 

I combine minimalist collages with colourful textile works.

Conceptually, I’m currently interested in domesticity, motherhood and the range of emotions associated with them. From overwhelming gratitude and complete exhaustion; the rituals of meals, walks and shopping lists; and finding pockets of time to keep making art.

I want to elevate the mundane in order to honour it, and to communicate the unseen effort behind the simple act of keeping things going.

The labour-intensive textile techniques such as embroidery, beading and punch-needle tapestry mirror the repetitive nature of domestic routines. In contrast, I bring the collaged components together more intuitively to suggest subtle narratives.  

I'm also a freelance art writer, with four years' experience as an Exhibitions Editor at Creative Tourist. Recent publications include Oxford Road Corridor, The Double Negative, and Notes from Poland.
